This is Emma. You may know me in real life as Mary, Mary Jane, MJ, Maria, or perhaps another one of my other personality names.

I have a few major works to share with you:

Full-length YA Fantasy novel, Immortal Essence, is the first novel in a planned series, self-published in summer of 2021. The story follows a group of teenagers with developing special powers unique to their own. As they train with Masters around their unique world, a pre-industrial society with glimpses of advanced technology, they are secretly tasked to find an ancient power thought lost to time. This unknown ancient power is called Immortal Essence. The danger lies in competing against a beloved ruler of a powerful country. While he is adored by many, very few know of his true nature and why he shouldn't obtain the Immortal Essence.

The paraquel and illustrated short story, Deodara in Nahare, was published at the end of 2023. This story follows teenager named Deodara. She originally makes an appearance in the main novel, Immortal Essence, but then deviates into an adventure of her own.

As part of the creation of these literary works, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with artists/illustrators. Kallie LeFave, was the first illustrator whose work spoke to me. I reached out to her for the creation of the images of my characters in the YA Fantasy Novel, Immortal Essence. Her work can be found on her Instagram page: @kallielefave

Another great artist I worked with on different projects, including my own, is Tee On. We worked on character development and art for merchandise. His work can be found on his instagram page: @tees0nline

The artist I have continued to work with, Glorissa Rodriguez-Corona, since 2023, illustrated the short story, Deodara in Nahare, has created posters and related marketing illustrations for me, aside from her own work and projects. Glorissa's work can be found on her instagram page: @tskullkid

Glorissa and I also have a current, ongoing project—a series of children's illustrated books. We are developing the first book in the series, Snappy and the Candy Passport. This project is in collaboration with a San Diego based small-business called the Candy Passport. We are expecting to have the first book completed this summer (2026). The story follows an African spurred tortoise and his magical scooter. He travels the world looking for special candy and solving candy-related crimes.
